I had a very short conversation with Roger a few minutes ago. The doctors have now removed Clayton’s respirator and he’s breathing on his own! Please read the note from Roger below and together with his thanks, I too would like to add a huge THANK YOU TO ALL for entrusting this child in your hearts and in your prayers. Roger attached today’s picture of little Clayton! Love to all … Barbara

Susie and I just got back from the hospital. They've removed his pacemaker and his heart is beating real well. They've also removed his 2 bleeding tubes coming from the heart. He is slowly awakening as they have discontinued the sedatives. When I baby talked to him, telling him Papaw was here to take care of him, his eyes fluttered wildly. Almost made me cry! And you thought that I was a tough guy :-) They will remove his breathing tube this afternoon sometime and we will go back in hopes of better communicating with him. He'll at least be able to make sounds. Please tell Rudy, Terry, Linda, and all of your people at work, etc., that Susie and I are forever grateful for their love. Forever. The greatest thrill of my life has been getting to raise my own grandchildren! How bout them apples? Attached is his latest pic....... Roger

Prayer for Jane

Dear Family and Love Ones,

Oh that we would take an agressive stand of faith for Jane and ask the Lord of Heaven to come down and touch her in the many different ways she so needs Him right now and in that very important way to be touched in body as to rid her of this cancer. Would a number of us just take a stand of faith in prayer for Jane and just call on the Lord to remove this cancer from her body. Our Lord many times said to ask and it will be given and to believe and it would be done and I know there are mysteries where that is concerned but I so want to be simple when it comes to these urgent reguests. I just know that the Lord is so ready to touch us when we so need Him and so ready to move heaven and earth because He has already shown that He does that in love for us... Oh that the Lord would hear us today where Jane is concerned and touch her and heal her and meet her right where shes at and let her know that Jesus rules and reigns over all. Pray for her dear people of God. pray for Jane!

In Jesus name we so pray today

love to all,

Rudy

Rudy, while you’re in the prayer mode . . . please see the email below from my cousin Ann. We had a very sad week after losing Grandma Kolb, but had a chance to visit with some of my dad’s family who came into town to help. Unfortunately my Aunt Jane could not travel from Washington because of the cancer that she continues to fight. Please keep her and her caregivers in your thoughts and prayers. –Jenna
From: John Schmuhl [mailto: jaschmoo@earthlink.net ] Sent: Wednesday, August 08, 2007 8:48 AMSubject: Hello

Well, Dad and I are back from Texas . And were we ever glad to be home! It wasn't a fun trip, but it was great seeing the family and reminiscing about what a character Grandma was. We miss her dearly.

Mom did well while we were gone, staying with Sam and Melissa and the girls. We took a more proactive approach this time and went in for fluids and meds ever 2-3 days, so she has been stronger this round, but unfortunately, other issue seem to have progressed. The tingling in her hands and feet are driving her nuts, but other than rub them, I don't know that there is anything we can do. She's also had a sore throat since round one, and most of the time she could ignore it or at least live with it. Now it seems her 'sore' may have broken open and is so painful she can't eat.

In the past they have told us that throat pain is common and gave us meds to numb it. We've decided that's no longer good enough. We have a Dr. appt. this morning to see if we can push for a closer, inner/visual, examination. Mom has also decided to go off of the study. She just isn't strong enough to do eight more rounds of chemo. Off the study, she'll only have to do four more, then radiation.

I'll try to let you all know the outcome of today's appt. Thanks for your support.

L, Ann

p.s. Jen & Russ, can't find your folks email. Hope all is well with the family.

Taran and I urgently request your prayers –I just found out that our niece Monica Ann has been hospitalized in Lake Charles with emergency complications with her pregnancy- and the doctors have induced labor. Monica is in distress, and the baby is as too- her heart rate is dropping while Monica’s BP is out of control. Monica has a clotting disorder, so a c-section is a last resort because of the surgical risks. Please pray for His hands to guide and comfort all involved!

Cameron's Tent

Dear Family and Loved Ones,

Lets pray for Cameron. Our Lord's mercies and compassions knows no bounds. His love has no limits and there is no measure to His grace. This young man has such a heavy, heavy load. May we ease it by bringing Him to the mighty God of the Heavens and the Earth who can lift any weight that anyone can imagine. ' Lord Jesus, we present you Cameron and these tumors that are in his brain. This is your child Lord. We lift him up to you in faith trusting your unfailing love and abilities. We lift up to you the whole family and all thier financial and emotional cost. Come in Lord like a flood of grace in the power of your Holy Spirit and minister to them. Hear all of us now as we entrust ourselves to you faithful Lord God of all the living. In Jesus name we pray."

Love to all,

Rudy

Dad:
Here is a boy I would like for you to put on your blog prayer list. He is 15 and has major brain and spinal tumors, that have the potential of becoming malignant at any time.
His family LOVES the Lords, as does he. He suffers from major and constant pain. As you can read, his family has significant financial costs b/c of his condition.
All of my family, Mark and I pray for him already, and it would be beautiful to have you pray for Cameron and his family. Shelia, his mother is an awesome inspiration. She loves the Lord in such a real way. (as I am sure you can read)
Much Love to you all. Can't wait to all be together Thursday.

This past Sunday, while I was listening to the message at church, one question REALLY stood out to me:

"What if our impatience was getting in the way of what God had in mind?"

I always think that Cameron's been going through this for a long three years now – and all the things that come along with his illness. I always think what a long suffering it has been. When I heard that question, though, it really hit a nerve. What if my impatience is getting in the way of what God has in mind through Cam being so sick?

He's had a pretty hard month – lots of added pain and pressure this month, it seems. He's on schedule for his spinal tap in August; maybe that will help ease some of this pressure. I always look at the MRI scan and (even still) it blows me away. The size of the one on the left is gargantuan. I can only IMAGINE what the pain is like. He doesn't give it all away – he's the "strong, silent" type. We don't sleep much these days, as night time seems to be the hardest right now. I'm hoping as summer fades so does some of this pressure.

As soon as we get the monthly MRI and the quarterly lumbar puncture out of the way, they will be assessing him for a neuro-bolt and cranial expansion again. We will be consulting not only with the docs here, but also contacting Dr. Billica in Colorado, as well. The MRI/spinal tap date is August 14 th so I'll update again as soon as we know anything.

Please pray over the attached pic – this time around I'm not going to ask for prayers for desires for my family and for God to bless those desires – this time around I ask that you pray for God's will – whatever it may be. Maybe if we turn focus on just that this month, my impatience won't get in the way of God's will.

Thank you for your continued prayers, thoughts, sensitivities and concerns.

~She

Dear Family and Love Ones,

We have a special request of prayer to place before you. Nothing touches the heart more than injury to a little child. A Father, Mother, Grandfather, Grandmother's heart is torn apart by the cry of a child. They are truly innocent in many ways and our very souls goes out in protection for them.

Well, little Clayton Emmons is schedule for heart surgery August 8th. He is the grandson of Roger and Susie Emmons. With that measure of heart the Lord has given us to share in one anther's burdens let us carry little Clayton before the throne of our Lord's grace.

'Jesus hear us and touch little Clayton and heal his heart. Help us to intercede for him these next couple of weeks. Lord, You are so compassionate and big hearted. Bring little Clayton near to your chest and make him whole. We pray in your precious name. In the name of Jesus!

love to all,

Rudy

I have a very special prayer request to make of my special prayer networkers. For those that know Roger and Susie Emmons and for those of you that do not… Roger is a schoolmate of mine. He and his beautiful wife Susie are very fortunate to be the grandparents of 3 beautiful children. Their youngest grandchild, Clayton, is in need of our prayers. Clayton, as one of God’s smallest children, is scheduled for heart surgery on August 8th. Can we please gather together and hold Clayton and his family up in prayer. Thank you and God Bless you my prayer friends. Barbara

Dear Family and Love Ones.

Here's a man through whose hands our God healed so many and now he faces this terrible disease. Can we lay our hands on him in prayer and together raise him before our Lord and his and ask our great God to do a radical miracle in his body. How the mercy of God abound in such earthen vessels even as it did in Dr Pete. May the grace of God in Jesus yet abound in him in an ever increasing way. May the Holy Spirit rest and settle on him to give him that assurance that the Great Physician is at his side now. In the name of Jesus we pray. ( I remember one thing my grandmother told me. Not one prayer prayed to Jesus goes unheard if we have faith and believe that He is. ) ' Lord, deliver Pete we pray. Deliver him by your mighty arm.'... Do remember Dr. Pete and bring his name before the Father today.

love to all,

Rudy

I would like to place a name before you for prayers. His name is Dr. Pete Dalton, and he is truly a Christian man in every sense of the word. A retired ob-gyn, he has spent many years now offering his services as a doctor through our church mission trips which is how I first met him – I’ve been on two Mexico mission trips with him and Guatemala (where he took such great care of me when I got sick there). He is gentle and humble and is now waging a valiant fight against metastatic cancer. It really hurts me to know of his suffering. I know you will put him in your prayers. Linda
